Person who passes examination of Data Visualization Specialist at least will have the following competencies:

  1. Data Visualization Concept
    Data visualization is ultimately the make-or-break moment for any data science operation or business analytics project. Develop a solid foundation for how to think about the visual interpretation and communication of data and data insights. Spreadsheets and large tables can be complex, difficult to decipher, and present barriers to extracting valuable information parsed from an organization’s data. But applying best practices for data visualization will allow you to solve problems, identify how to use visuals in presentations and reports, and make decisions. You will learn the basics of the visual perception of data as well as strengthen and practice these new techniques through a capstone exercise.
  2. Essential Data Visualization
    This course is designed for the beginner Tableau user. It is for anyone who works with data – regardless of technical or analytical background. This course is designed to help you understand and use the important concepts and techniques in Tableau to move from simple to complex visualizations and learn how to combine them in interactive dashboards. This course includes a workbook containing key concepts on each topic covered and hands-on activities to reinforce the skills and knowledge attained. It also includes a digital student resources folder containing Tableau workbooks and data sources to support the hands-on activities.
  3. Server Web Authoring
    This course is designed for the beginner Tableau Online or Tableau Server user with no previous experience or training on Tableau Desktop. It is for anyone who works with data — regardless of technical or analytical background. This course is designed to introduce you to the functions of web authoring in Tableau Server. In this course you’ll learn the skills needed to create, edit, and interact with basic worksheets that use previously-published data sources. This course includes a workbook containing key concepts on each topic covered and hands-on activities to reinforce the skills and knowledge attained.
  4. Administering Business Intelligence Server
    This course provides in-depth coverage of the best practices for installing and administering Tableau Server. It covers important information and practices on security, performance, governance, and scalability. The knowledge and skills acquired will position the student to fast track their way to creating a sound and extensible Tableau platform. This course includes extensive hands-on activities to reinforce the skills and knowledge attained.

Data Visualization Qualified

Person who passes examination of Data Visualization Qualified at least will have the following competencies:

  1. Intermediate Data Visualization
    The course is designed for the professional who has solid working experience with Tableau and wants to take it to the next level. You should have a deep understanding of all the fundamental concepts of building worksheets and dashboards but may scratch your head when working with more complex issues. This course includes a workbook containing key concepts on each topic covered and hands-on activities to reinforce the skills and knowledge attained. It also includes a digital student resources folder containing Tableau workbooks and data sources to support the hands-on activities.
  2. Architecting Business Intelligence Server
    Architecting Business Intelligence Server training provides in depth coverage of all Tableau Server aspects including general usage, installation, integration, customization, advanced administration, automation, embedding monitoring, troubleshooting, data security, and system architecture. This course is intended for IT and technical personnel deploying enterprise installations of Tableau Server, and consultants involved in many deployments. You can expect thorough review of concepts and many hands-on activities, putting theory into practice.

Data Visualization Professional

Person who passes examination of Data Visualization Professional at least will have the following competencies:

  1. Visual Analytics
    You are an experienced Tableau user who wants to learn more about best practices for sharing information and insights. The Visual Analytics course helps Tableau users design visualizations that viewers can easily understand and use. This course uses Tableau to develop and discuss visualizations but does not include instruction on how to use Tableau products—we expect that you already know how to navigate and use Tableau. This course includes a student manual containing key concepts on each topic covered and hands-on activities to reinforce the skills and knowledge attained. It also includes Tableau workbooks for practice discussions and hands-on activities.
  2. Server Development Best Practice
    The Server Development Best Practice training provides extensive coverage of best practices in implementing Tableau Server, from various aspects including general use, visual design, installation, integration, customization, advanced administration, troubleshooting, data security, and system architecture. This course is intended for IT and technical staff who use the installation of Tableau Server companies, and consultants involved in many applications.  You can expect a thorough review of concepts and many direct activities, practice theory.
